Using Nautikos™ as an online learner
The OHS Canada e-Learning courses are assessment-driven, mastery courses. They are designed to ensure mastery of
a skill or concept prior to moving on. You will have choices of activities and resources to gain the skill, and
will be able to generate reports on your progress and scores.
Courses include activities (blue), non-scored quizzes for feedback (yellow), and computer-marked exams (green).
Activities include reference to websites, links to glossaries, and audio files. Questions are multiple choice,
true/false, matching and fill-in-the-blank. Passing scores are set to 80% mastery, but are customizable by course
or learner (to change your settings, email us at
OHS Canada e-Learning).
Upon entry to a course, you will be presented with the opportunity to take a pre-test. You may choose to skip it.
If you take it, you will be automatically presented with only activities on topics that you did not demonstrate 80% of.
At any time during the course, or
when preparing for your final exam, you can go back to
review any activity or quiz.
Simply open the outline by clicking the arrow on the left of the course materials, and select "Browse".
